On a shortened school day with nice weather and nothing else to do, where else do you go? Trader Joe's. As we all know, I'm quite obsessed with that store (I fully admit it). My friends and I arranged it that morning, and 4 of us drove there that afternoon. It was all of my friends' first times there- I needless to say was very excited to share this with them. I'm not saying they were repulsed by the store, but I don't think they loved it just as much as I do.
While we were there, we got a bunch of snacks to just share between all of us, and I think the crowd favorite was the chili lime rolled tortilla chips.

The first thing that really catches your eye when you see this on the shelves between everything is the bright packaging. Set apart from everything else, that small bright pink bag isn't something you can just ignore. The first time I bought these (4 trips ago), I threw them in my cart without even really seeing what they were. I heard on TikTok that these were reportedly better than Takis, and I've never had Takis either, so I was really in for a surprise. I don't have the biggest spice tolerance, so I didn't know what to expect.

When I first took a bite out of them, I described the taste as "chaos." I got mostly chili, but the lime was definitely a significant flavor- hence the "chili lime" that's literally the title. I definitely got heat that was more than I could tolerate at first, but it subsided after not too long. They tasted so good that I couldn't stop going back for more. I've bought these every time I've been to Trader Joe's for the last 4 visits, and I fully admit to finishing the entire bag faster than I'd like to admit. In my defense, the bag is not that big.
I got all of my friends in the car to try them, and everyone who tried one was impacted by the sudden kick of spice, but we all continued to go back for more. I'm 100% serious when one of my friends told me today that they "made my mouth burn, but in a good way."

(Can you tell we were all satisfied with our Trader Joe's Visit?)
I overall would rate these an 8.5/10! I loved the flavor and everything, I would only dock it a couple points since I have such a low spice tolerance. I guess that's my fault? I'll change my rating to a 9/10.
If you want something spicy with a sweet/savory aftertaste, I seriously can't recommend these enough.
